In this edition of Through The Arsenal Gates Glenn O'Kray interviews Ken Schulz, Retiree and Craftsman. Glenn begins the interview by asking Ken about his early years. We learn that Ken was born in East Dearborn, and he was adopted. His new parents did not know if it would be a boy or girl, but they were very grateful to have him when he arrived. Ken tells us about his education at Fordson and Henry Ford Community College, where he received his degree is science. We learn that Ken took a 4-year apprenticeship at what was formerly known as Henry Ford Trade School to graduate as a Metal Model Maker. Ken tells us that when he was young, he wanted to be an inventor. Glenn asks Ken to tell us about the Robots he made in his workshop, and how they work. We also learn that Ken makes metal models of machines, buildings and other crafts in his spare time. The conversation concludes with Ken offering advice on how important it is to love what you do, over working just to make money.
